Katherine (Kitty) May Funk, age 85 of Hastings, passed away October 7, 2016 at Magnum Care of Hastings.
Kitty was born on June 20, 1931 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of, Clarence Samuel and Margret (Krieghbaum) Stepler.
Kitty married Robert (Herbert) Lee Funk on February 17, 1951 in Franklin County, PA. She enjoyed many years of traveling to Ruskin, Florida with husband Bob. Kitty also enjoyed dancing, singing, poetry, family and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Margret Stepler, husband of 59 years, Robert Lee Funk, sons, Jonathan Francis Funk and Rick Allen Funk, sisters, Sally and Carol, and brother, Donald Stepler.
Kitty is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Jack) Booth, son, Keith Funk, grandchildren: Jordon (Tara) DeForest, Janice (Roger) Meyers Rhyndress, Kimberly (Matt) Heath, Robert (Carey) Funk, Brandon (Jessie) Funk, Tyler (Lisa) Funk, Kyle Funk, 9 great-grandchildren, brother, Jim Stepler, and sister, Dottie.
Respecting Kitty's wishes, cremation has taken place and interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. A private family service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
