IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathryn Rose
Taggart
March 29, 1939 – December 30, 2025
Kathryn “Katie” Rose Taggart, age 86, passed away on December 30, 2025. Born on March 29, 1939, in Traverse City, Michigan, Katie was the beloved daughter of Melvin and Elizabeth (Secor) Gray.
Katie graduated from Carson City High School and later built a dedicated career with American Anodco, Inc. in Ionia. In 1986, she married the love of her life, Glenn Taggart. Together they shared 19 wonderful years filled with laughter, adventure, and deep companionship until Glenn’s passing in January 2006. After their marriage, Katie embraced the role of homemaker.
Katie and Glenn were proud members of the Redwing Motorcycle group in Grand Rapids, and their travels took them across the United States, including memorable rides along the historic Naches Trail. Katie cherished the freedom of the open road and the friendships formed along the way.
Creative at heart, Katie found joy in ceramics and even owned her own kiln. She loved being surrounded by friends, often becoming the life of the party with her humor, warmth, and unmistakable presence. To know Katie was to enjoy her company—she had a gift for making every gathering brighter. When she left this world, God truly broke the mold.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Glenn Taggart.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her children, Ed VanDuser and Amber Corrigan; her grandchildren, Kendall Corrigan-Salter and Zach Corrigan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A private burial will take place in the spring at Irving Township Cemetery, where Katie will be laid to rest beside her beloved Glenn.
