Kathy Elaine Kulikowski, 77, of Hastings, passed away on June 19, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born February 13, 1948, in Grand Rapids to Paul and Hortense (Mead) Palmer.

A graduate of Thornapple Kellogg High School and Grand Valley University, Kathy dedicated her life to education, agriculture, and community service. She worked as a teacher, dairy farmer, and with the Dairy Herd Improvement Association. She later retired after 21 years with the USDA Farm Services Agency, and then serving for nine more years as the Barry County Community Adviser.

On August 8, 1970, Kathy married Robert Herp, and they were married for 18 years.  On June 28, 1997, she married Skip Kulikowski. Kathy was a passionate 4-H leader, dedicating over 30 years to the Barry County 4-H Horse Program. She found joy in quilting and trail riding with friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Skip, and stepson Kirk Kulikowski.

She is survived by her daughter Mandy Herp of Gurnee, IL; son Michael (Suzy) Herp of Hastings, MI; stepdaughter Kimmie (Mike) Rivers of White Pigeon, MI; seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and her brother Larry Palmer of Middleville, MI.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 9238 Jones Road, Bellevue, MI 49021.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Young Riders 4-H Club, 9238 Jones Road, Bellevue, MI 49021.
