Kenneth Lee Hamilton

Kenneth Lee Hamilton, age 86, of Delton, Michigan, passed away on December 4, 2023.

Kenneth was born on October 13, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Dale and Florence (Bingham) Hamilton.  He was a 1955 graduate of Richland High School in Richland, Michigan.  Kenneth proudly served his country in the Marine Corp from 1955-1958 and played drums in the Marine Corps Band.

Kenneth worked for Georgia Pacific in Kalamazoo, Michigan as Chief Engineer at the Power Plant, retiring in 2000.

Kenneth enjoyed fishing and fixing things.  He served as Treasurer of NIULPE (National Institute for The Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers) and was a member of NAPE (National Association of Power Engineers).  He was a jack of many trades.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 17 years Teresa (McGivney) Hamilton, two brothers and 2 children Cinda Lou and David W. Hamilton.

He is survived by his sons Allen (Chris) Hamilton, Jim (Barb) Hamilton, daughter Penny Seaver, stepdaughters Deborah (John) Wieringa and Shannon (Rob) Ward, stepson Wayne (Joyce) Morford, grandchildren Nicole and Jennifer, Abbie and Paige, Amanda, Taylor and Colton, Breah, Dylan and Kaylee, Hanna and Riley, Nigel Morford and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12 from 11:00 AM – Noon, with a service to follow at Noon at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway; Hastings, MI 49058, interment to follow at Brush Ridge Cemetery.  Military Honors provided by Hastings American Legion Post 45.
