Kenneth Rodgers Myers

Kenneth Rodgers Myers peacefully went to be with our Lord on Friday, September 1, 2017. Kenneth was born on August 16th, 1944 to John Adon Myers and Thelma (Lee) Myers in Kent County Michigan. He served in the US Navy. On June 24, 1967 he married Phyllis Ann Fox.

He is survived by wife of 50 years, Phyllis Myers, children Michelle (Gary) Yoder, DeeDee (Jeff) Innes and Andy (Jenny) Myers, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, sister Kathy Fuller, brother John (Betsy) Myers, sister Alice Ploeg, brother-in-law Phillip (Gloria) Fox and sister-in-law Lois (Dale) Byars.

Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming, camping, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a volunteer Fireman at Freeport Fire Department for 25 years. Ken was employed by Bradford White, in Middleville, and retired after 38 years. Ken and Phyllis enjoyed many trips up north, down south and out west. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 p.m., and Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 11 a.m., both at New Hope Free Methodist Church located at 5665 Eastern Ave SE Kentwood Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Hope Free Methodist Church. Services provided by Girrbach Funeral Home, Hastings, Michigan.
