Leo A. Hendershot age 68, of Hastings passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026, surrounded by his family. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, wood working, camping, hunter safety training, farm market, listening to God’s word, and his family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Merle Hendershot and Dollie Godfrey and step-father Bob Godfrey. Sister Becky Wheatstone, brothers Vern Staup, and Bob Hendershot, and brother-in-law Bill McNutt and nephew John Hendershot.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rose Hendershot, daughters Trixie and Amanda, step-children Larry (Jenee) Smith, Tammy (Eric) Christenson, grandchildren Terrick (Melia) Smith, Brandon Christenson, Rosetta Christenson and great-granddaughter Ainsley Smith. Sister Linda McNutt, Dianna Maka, Merle LaVerne (Sally Perez) Staup, Larry (Terry) Hendershot, niece Brenda Borchard and many more nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to Cedar Creek Bible Church and Barry County Animal Shelter.
Services will be held at Cedar Creek Bible Church, 9213 Cedar Creek Rd, Delton, MI 49046 on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, with Pastors Bob Norton and Ethan Holmes. Visitation at 10 a.m. with service at 11 a.m. and a luncheon to follow.
