Leonard William Burandt

Leonard William Burandt, age 53 of of Oakland, Michigan and formerly Hastings, passed away at his residence in Hazel Park.

He was born August 12, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Leonard William and Marie Powers (Brurandt) DeWitt. Leonard moved to Hastings in 1972 and graduated from Hastings High School. He was a painter by trade. Leonard married Janice (Detmers) Burandt on August 12, 2002.

Leonard was preceded in death by his father, Leonard William Burandt in 2006; brother, David James Burandt in 2003 and grandmother, Elise Kidder in 1991.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Janice (Detmers) Burandt, and children: Patrick Burandt, Derek (Tiffany) Burandt, Adam (Stacy) Burandt, Brittany (Jason) (Burandt) Mitchell; step-children: Ashley Madden, Heather Maddell, Steven Detmers; mother and step-father: Marie (Powers) (Burandt) Kreeno DeWitt; sisters: Grace Burandt of Hastings, Sandra (John) Britten of Hastings, Diane Hammond of Hastings, Nancy (Lawrence) Reed of Warner, MI; Brothers: John Burandt of St Louis, MI; Tom (Deb) Burandt of Bronson, MI; step-siblings: Dennis DeWitt of Florida, Bill DeWitt of Texas, Tina Cullers of Hastings, Kreena Tossava of Hastings; Aunt Bonnie Preze of Hastings; Aunt Judy, Uncle Jack of Cedar Lake, IN and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
