Leonard Arthur Mcknight

Leonard A. McKnight age 93 of Hastings, passed away August 12, 2013 at Woodlawn Meadows in Hastings.

Leonard was born on May 7, 1920 at Albion, Montana, the son of Roy A. and Grace D. (Dye) McKnight. Leonard graduated from Ekalaka, Montana High School in 1938. He honorably served during World War II from 1942 until 1946. Leonard married Grace Cadwell on June 28, 1946.

Leonard was a self employed rancher in Montana. He was also a member of the Gideon Bible Society.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Grace McKnight, son, Russell McKnight, brother, Edwin McKnight and sisters: Dorothy Riffe and Gertrude Israel.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Grace McKnight of Hastings, daughter, Marcia Solmes of Hastings, sons, Wesley McKnight of Ft. St. John, British Columbia, Wendell McKnight of Williams Lake, British Columbia, brother, Royal McKnight of Rapid City, South Dakota, sisters: Ione Johnston of Idaho and Betty Kronholm of Hastings, Minnesota.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Thornapple Valley Church in Hastings. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow visitation at 11:00 am. Interment will take place on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10:30 am at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
