Linda Elizabeth Clayson

Linda Elizabeth Clayson passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024, at the age of 75. Linda was born on October 27, 1948, in Albany, NY, the daughter of Elizabeth Warley and Albert Clayson, both of whom preceded her in death.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ray Burton, sister Elaine Clayson, sister Crystal Hinds, son Harvey Mohr, and grandson Justice Babb.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughter Lonnie (Mike) Vaskovic of Battle Creek, Jenny (Jayson) Royal of Delton, son Allen Burton of Ionia, and daughter Christina Ulrich of Ionia. Linda's joy was multiplied through her grandchildren: Michael Vaskovic of Tennesee, Alyssa Vaskovic, Kaeden Vaskovic, Gavin Mechelle, Christopher Kaskovic, Dalanna Vaskovic, and Jeanette Royal, all of Battle Creek, and Brandon Ulrich, and her great-grandchildren, Longa Royal, Joshua Royal, Jerrica Royal, Steven Babb, Joseph Babb, Jess Altion, Larry Altion Jr., Allen Mohr, Chrissy Mohr, Harvey Mohr Jr., Isaiah Nella, Wahlyen Burton, and Vance Babb, Linda's sister Anita Man of Battle Creek, along with many more family members and friends.

Linda's early education took place at Thornapple Kellogg Schools. As an adult, Linda dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker and also shared her warmth with the community as a waitress at Richie's Koffee Shop.

Her interests were simple yet profound, centered around the joy of togetherness. Linda found pleasure in shopping, baking, and creating a home where everyone was always welcome. Her home was a hub of activity, a place where neighborhood kids gathered, drawn by her nurturing presence. Linda's love for her children was boundless; she was the comforting presence who stayed up all night when they were sick, the steady hand that guided them through life's challenges.
