Louise Bertrand

December 1, 1943 — March 27, 2024

Louise Susan Bertrand, a beacon of generosity and thoughtfulness, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born on December 1, 1943, in Wayne County, Michigan, the cherished daughter of the late Richard and Hilda (Miriam) Modig.

Louise's educational journey led her to earn an Associate Degree from Union Community College. Her career was marked by her ownership of a successful print shop in Okemos, Michigan. Louise's passion for real estate also shone brightly as she excelled as a realtor, bringing joy to families in both New Jersey and Michigan.

Beyond her professional life, Louise had a love for traveling and sewing. Her love for being a Realtor was paralleled by her love of being around people, where her generous and thoughtful nature made her a joy to be around.

Louise's adoration for her little dog, Toasty, was well-known among her friends and family. Toasty was not just a pet but a cherished companion who brought additional warmth and happiness to her home.

In honor of Louise's giving spirit, memorial contributions can be made to a Veteran's charity of one's choice or Tunnels to Towers (T2T.org), organizations that reflect the values of service and sacrifice that Louise held dear.

Louise is survived by her devoted daughter, Martha Bertrand, and her son, Richard Bertrand. Her grandchildren, Beth, Dominic, Angelina, and Annalise, along with her four great-grandchildren, will miss her deeply. Louise's sister, Kathy Daniels, along with several nieces and nephews, also mourn the loss of a truly special woman.

A service is currently being planned and will be updated here soon. Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home. To leave an online condolence visit www.girrbachfuneralhome.net.
