Marcia Deanne Rice

Marcia Deanne Rice, age 65 of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly Monday August 18, 2014 at her residence.
Marcia was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Harry Leroy and Glenna Mae (Sloan) Rice. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School, class of 1967. Marcia was employed by Hastings Manufacturing for over 20 years.
She was a member of St. Rose Church and the VFW of Nashville, Ladies Auxiliary. Marcia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Glenna Rice, brother, Dennis Rice, sister, Marjorie Kelley and granddaughter, Courtney Harold.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Rice-Schantz, grandchildren: Kristen Harold-Elliott, Matthew Elliott, Noah Elliott, Luke Elliott, Kaitee Elliott, great-granddaughter, Skylin Bergeron, sister, Donna (Robert) Van Natta of Texas, special friend, Ina Baker and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 1pm until 3pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. A funeral service will follow the visitation period at 3:00 pm.
