Margaret Ann "Maggie" Gaw, age 73, passed away on July 3, 2023, with her family by her side.
Maggie was born on June 27, 1950, the daughter of Gaylord DeBoer and Rose (Stowman) Ricketts.
Maggie worked as a care provider and was an autism advocate. She loved pool time with family, sunbathing, playing cards and board games, watching the hummingbirds outside her window, and playing catch with her dog. When she wasn't spending time with her family, she loved shopping, decorating her home, cruising and palm trees. She was a natural advocate for others, especially for those without a voice.
Maggie was preceded in death by her father and stepmother Gaylord (Joyce) DeBoer, mother Rose Ricketts, brothers Bob and Daniel Ricketts, brother Lyle DeBoer, sister Gayla DeBoer, and beloved dog Sassie.
She is survived by her daughters Tonya (Mark) Hiller, Darla (Lionel) Lagorse, and Laura (David) Christensen, grandchildren Christopher (Heather) Norman, Meredith (Tyler) Davidson, Austin (Kaitlyn) Norman, R. Lucas Sanders, Logan Sanders, Nicholas (Rustina) Christensen, Joshua (Paige) Christensen, Jacob Christensen, Kai Stayton, 5 great-grandchildren with 1 one the way, brothers Gary (Jennifer) DeBoer and David (Gayla) DeBoer, and her beloved Puffy Dog.
A graveside service will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 925 E Main Street; Middleville, MI 49333.
