Margaret Elizabeth Rowland, age 98 of Hastings & Gun Lake, passed away Monday December 29, 2008 at Woodlawn Meadows in Hastings.\r
Margaret was born December 20, 1910 in Marshall, Michigan, the daughter of Claude S. And Blanche M. (Long) Weaver. \r
She attended grade School and High School in Lansing. She married Sherman Rowland in 1939 and they moved to Charlotte, Michigan from Lansing in 1952. \r
Margaret and husband Sherman Co-Owned from 1957-1968 Rowland -Partridge Ford Dealership in Charlotte where she worked in the office for several years. They also Co-Owned VanSickle-Rowland Ford in 1952.\r
Margaret was a volunteer for the American Red Cross at Hayes Green Beach Hospital in Charlotte. In 1970 she retired with her husband Sherman to Gun Lake and lived there for 35 years, Sherman died in 1991.\r
She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Gene) Bacher of Vienna, Virginia. A Granddaughter Emily Bacher from Atlanta, Georgia.\r
Visitation will be held Saturday January 3, 2009 from 10:00am until service time. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00am at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. Pastor Robert Clinton officiating, burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing. \r
