Margie Mae Krebs-Wood, age 78 of Hastings, died at her residence on Sunday November 2, 2014. with her family at her side.
Margie was born June 10, 1936 in Cadet, Missouri at home , the daughter of Edgar "Hawpatch" Fisher and Birdie Mae Declue.
She attended Mosell High School and in 1989 received aCNA degree from Calvin College.
Margie worked at Tendercare in Hastings , a Missouri shoe factory and was also a waitress.
Margie enjoyed playing bingo and more bingo , doing cross word puzzles and going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Birdie Fisher, her first husband Duane Keith Krebs, her 2nd husband, Elwin Harold Wood, 3 grandchildren, Jordy Purdum, Hannah Crook, Erin Krebs, sister's Dorthy, Rose, Lulabell, brother's , Floyd, Evert (Buck), Carl and Raymond Fisher all of Missouri, a step-son Jerry Kidder, friends Geni Frenthway , Lil and Danny .
Margie is survived by 7 children, Jeanice (Krebs) Merlin Leffel, Keith Krebs (Jackie), Leon (Deb) Krebs, Kenneth (Stephanie) Krebs, David (tracy) Krebs, Deanice (Krebs) Tim Purdum, Elwin (Nicole) Wood, 19 grandchildren, Calistia, Michelle, Steven, Jessica, Keith, Amie, Julie, Heather, Rick,Tammy, Kristie, Duane, Max, april, David, Kayla, Kara, Timmy, Tia, 29 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister Mary Bell, brother Charlie (Sherry) Fisher both of Missouri, brother Earl Fisher, step-son's Barry (Margret) Wood Archie (Chris) Wood, Terry (BJ) Wood, and Kerry Wood, 10 Step-grandchildren, friend Vicky , lots of Bingo friends, very special friend Jerry Ryan of Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.
Margie loved her children and family, her greatest wish of all would be that she pasted before her children, her children were the back bone of her and she was the back bone of her children. She was very proud of who she was.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8pm and 1 hour prior to service time.
Funeral services will be held Werdnesday November 5, 2014 @ 11:00am at Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings.
