Mark Douglas Sanders

Mark D. Sanders, age 71, of Cedar Springs, died April 21, 2023.

Mark was born July 24, 1951, in Hastings, Michigan, the son of Gerald and Betty (Cappon) Sanders.

He graduated from Hastings High School in 1970.  He worked at Viking Corporation in Hastings before moving to Cedar Springs, working for Duthler Ford Truck in Grand Rapids, Huntington Foam in Greenville, and Homewood Suites in Grand Rapids.

Mark enjoyed snowmobiling, remodeling his home, and helping neighbors on the farm.

Mark is preceded in death by his son David Sanders, father Gerald, brother Scott Sanders, nephew Barrett Sherwood, grandparents Frank and Jessie Sanders, and Clarence and Ruth Miller.

Mark is survived by his wife Debra Long, mother Betty Sanders, brothers Stuart (Pam) Sanders, Brad (Brenda) Sanders, many nieces and nephews, daughter Jennifer (Jason) Lund and grandchildren Gavin, Madison, Kinsley Lund, Debra's daughter, Joni (Mark) Preston, and their children, Lucas, Veronica and Charlotte Preston, and Debra's son Mark Willingham, and his children Hunter, Trigger, and Avalynn, along with very good friends Gary and Wilma Yates.
