Mary Elizabeth Cole
Age 87, of Hastings, passed away on July 4, 2017 in Wyoming, Michigan. She was born on November 28, 1929 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Emeritt and LaWave (Smith) Payne. She worked at Hooker Motor Freight Company as a secretary, was an Avon Lady, and worked over 20 years as a cashier at K-Mart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald B. Cole, Sr., brothers Walter, David, and Thomas Payne, sister Florence McCaslin, sister-in-law's Marie and Lorraine Payne. She is survived by daughter Susan (Brian) Dexter, sons David (Robin) Cole, Gerald B. Cole, Jr., and Michael (Brenda) Cole, 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
