Mary K. Parsons, age 66 of Hastings, Michigan passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. \r
She was born September 14, 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Wesley and Arlene (Hill) Ebeling. \r
She attended the Battle Creek Seventh Day Adventist School through the eighth grade and received her GED from Hastings High School in 1977. Mary worked 31 years cleaning offices for Hallifax Services and 7 years at Hastings Manufacturing Company. \r
She married Thomas Parsons on March 20, 1959. Mary enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, spending time with family, gardening and going to Casinos. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat, Sylvester.\r
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Arlene (Hill) Ebeling. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Parsons of Hastings, MI, daughter, Karen Root of Hastings, MI, grandson, Derrek Kurr of Lansing, MI, cousin, Cynthia Buckley and her children, Mark and Ann Buckley, mother-in-law, Connie Parsons.\r
Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society (Leukemia).\r
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. \r
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings, MI.\r
David Wood will be officiating the service.\r
