Melba Jean Strouse, of Middleville passed away on June 28, 2021, in Hastings, Michigan at age 71. Melba graduated from Thornapple Kellogg High School. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, puzzles and playing cards. On June 15, 1968, she married Edward James Strouse. She was a homemaker and worked beside her husband Edward and son Thomas for 25 years at the Sand Creek Dairy Farm.
Melba is survived by her step-son Robert Carl, son Thomas James, daughters Melissa Jean and Candace Belle, brothers Sam (Kay) King, Charlie King, Richard King, grandchildren Jeremy, Justin (Billie), Jerrad, Taylor, Lizzy, Tara, Nathan, Mandi, Jenny, great-grandchildren Chayse, Keaton, Aydenn, Balyke, Michael, Camden, Kailyn, Landin, Fallyn, Adeline, Skylar, Kimberly, and Annabelle and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 40 years, Edward James Strouse, parents Charlie Thomas King and Rosa Lee (Zetler) King, brother Jerry King, sisters Phyllis Snyder and Sandra Hall, granddaughter Jasmin L.
