Michael Ray Bennett, age 40 of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly, May 1, 2018 at his home in Hastings.
Mike was born on March 3, 1978 in Hastings, Michigan, the son of Jeff and Robin (Eaton) Bennett. He received his GED from Hastings High School. Mike worked various jobs, did some factory work and also drove a tow truck.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his daughters, Kaylee and Michiah. He was also a die hard Michigan fan and enjoyed collecting anything Michigan related.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Christopher Bennett-McClurkin, and grandfathers, Roger Bennett and Maurice Eaton.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Kaylee and Michiah Bennett of Hastings, parents, Jeff and Robin Bennett of Hastings, longtime girlfriend, Tina of Hastings, sisters, Shannon Bennett-Gordenski of Hastings, Brook (Alex) Zbiciak of Clarksville, nephews, Evan Kuntz, Zachary Zbiciak, nieces, Sydney Kuntz and Abigail Zbiciak, grandmothers, Nancy Jeffreys and Genevieve Bennett of Hastings, his children's mother, Barb Bennett, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his daughters. Please make checks payable to Jeff Bennett (grandfather).
A Celebration of Life Gathering and Service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. Friends and Family may gather from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at Noon. Charles Converse will officiate the service.
