Mildred Joy Venhuizen

Mildred "Millie" Joy Venhuizen, age 74 of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on December 15, 2020.  She was born on January 5, 1946, the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Gronewold.

Millie attended Middleville High School.  On December 6, 1969, she married Steven Venhuizen, and they enjoyed over 50 years together.  Millie was a beautician working in Grand Rapids, Hastings, and in home.

Millie's interest is the same of mothers across the land.  She raised her children and was concerned about everything they did.

Millie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Helen Venhuizen, Marcella Potter and Marlene Main.

She is survived by her husband Steve, her children Aaron (Callie) Venhuizen of Hastings, Michigan, Kara (Derek) Taylor of Ruther Glen, Virginia, Suzanne (Jack) Sharpe of Medina, Ohio, and Jennifer (Jerry) Rossi Bihlmeyer of Dorr, Michigan, her brother Dennis Gronewold of Rustin, Louisiana, and her sister Marie Sutliff of Olivet, Michigan, Brenda Williams of Tucson, Arizona, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandsons.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S. Broadway; Hastings, MI 49058, with a private family service to follow at 11:00 AM.  The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/GirrbachFuneralHome .
