Myron Kendall Hawkins

Myron K. Hawkins age 81 of Hastings passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at Magnum Care in Hastings.

He was born in Hastings on November 11, 1932, the son of Victor and Edith (Lester) Hawkins.

Myron attended Hastings High School. He honorably served in the US Army, during the Korean War. Myron was employed by Hastings Manufacturing and Fishers Big Wheel.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, showing dogs, driving his team of ponies and buggy horse. Myron was a member of the Fork River Free Trappers Mountain Men.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Edith Hawkins and his brothers and sisters.

Myron is survived by his son, David Hawkins of Hastings, daughter, Marie (Chris) Anderson of Kentucky, grandchildren: Jeremy Hause, Christina Anderson, Austin Anderson, Nicholas Anderson; great-grandchildren: Kylee and Oakley Anderson, all of Kentucky.

Respecting Myron's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are being held.
