Oliver Owen Boulter, age 94, passed away on September 26, 2019. Oliver was born on April 19, 1925 in Orangeville, Michigan, the son of Oliver Owen, Sr. and Almay (Bradshaw) Boulter. He attended Woodland High School. On March 15, 1947, Oliver married Joyce Lorraine Denny.
Oliver worked as a molder for E.W. Bliss where he retired in 1969, then farmed the family farm. He proudly served in the US Army.
Oliver enjoyed farming, collecting antique tractors, and attending tractor shows. He was a 50 year member of Farm Bureau and was a member of the Barry County Steam and Gas Antique Machinery Association.
Oliver is preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Boulter, sisters Rudy May Bolton and Janice Marie Jordan, and his son Harry Lee Boulter.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Joyce L. Boulter, brother Edgar Lee Boulter and family, daughter-in-law Patricia Boulter, son Charles and Teresa Boulter, daughter Kay and Denny Morgan, grandchildren Terry and Shannon Brandon, Thomas and Cheryl Boulter, Teresa Boulter, Jenny and Matt Wells, Lisa Curtis and family, Tom Shockley, Jason and Susan Morgan, Leslie Shockley, and family, great-grandchildren Derek and Dylan Brandon, Jade Boulter, Jason Todd, Taylor Morgan, Addison Morgan, Garrett and Jordan Wells, Lennon Gildea, Nevin and Avery Cheeseman, Michael Shockley, Nolan Shockly, and Dana Curtis.
Funeral Service will be Monday, September 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM with a visitation prior from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S. Broadway, Hastings, MI 49058. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or the Charlton Park Gas and Steam Engine Club or the Clarksville Steam and Gas Engine Association.
