Patsy Ann Lancaster

Patsy Ann Lancaster, of Hastings, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, in Hastings. She was born on March 28, 1937, in Hastings, the daughter of John William and Doris Emma (McBain) Cook.

Patsy attended the Little Brick Country School before graduating from Hastings High School with the Class of 1955. She was married to Wally McIntosh until his passing and later married Paul Lancaster in 1985. Paul preceded her in death in 2007.

Patsy worked for 30 years at Hastings National Bank. She enjoyed coloring, taking country car rides, watching birds and animals, and going out to eat. She especially appreciated the simple pleasures of life and time spent with those she cared about.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard Cook, John Cook, and Roger Cook.

She is survived by her sister, Marie Barnes; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and special friends, Steve and Tammy Allerding.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Thornapple Manor and Elara Caring for the compassionate care and assistance they provided to Patsy.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S. Broadway Street, Hastings, Michigan 49058, with visitation one hour prior beginning at 2:00 p.m. Private burial will take place at Barryville Cemetery in Castleton Township, Michigan.
