Phillip Neil Wurm

Phillip Neil Wurm, age 64, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026. Born on November 16, 1961, in Hastings, Phillip was the son of Frederick and Sharon (Klevorn) Wurm. Following the passing of his mother Sharon in 1970, he was lovingly raised by his stepmother, Marian Kaye (Jones) Wurm.

A proud 1979 graduate of Hastings High School, Phillip continued his education at Grand Rapids Junior College. He built a dedicated 24-year career at The Viking Corporation until his retirement.

Phillip had a deep passion for learning and creativity. A devoted fan of US history and the History Channel, he spent countless quiet hours collecting World War II soldiers and constructing intricate models, including a detailed Alamo playset. On autumn Saturdays, nothing brought him more joy than cheering on his beloved Michigan Wolverines and experiencing the energy of the games in person.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Sharon, and his stepmother, Marian. He is survived by his daughters, Brittney and Megan Wurm of Hastings, as well as his dear cousins.
