Richard Arthur Lalonde

Richard A. LaLonde, age 81 of Hastings, passed away February 14, 2017 at Spectrum Health Blodgett in Grand Rapids.
Richard was born August 25, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Robert J. and Freda (Hall) LaLonde. Richard honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. He married Patricia Fischer on April 6, 1968. Richard was a self employed Cement Mason, retiring in 1995.
Richard was a simple man and enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed fishing and bird watching and spending time with his family.
He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia LaLonde of Hastings, daughter, Lynn (Lee) Gosson of Hastings, grandson, Andrew Gosson, son, Tony ( Colette) LaLonde of Sorrento, FL, brothers, Bruce, Fred and Roy LaLonde.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike #420, Rockville, MD 20850, or visit www.fisherhouse.org. (Fisher House provides military families housing closed to a hospitalized veteran.)
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. A Memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. Pastor Andrew Courtright will officiate the service.
