Richard (Dick) Lee Davis

Richard (Dick) Lee Davis, age 80 of Hastings, Michigan, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Richard was born in Plainwell, Michigan on October 9, 1936, the son of Floyd W. and Ruth Marie (Barry) Davis. He graduated from Hastings High School. Richard married Lillian Mosley on February 28, 1966, who he dearly loved for 51 years.
Richard loved to play his guitar, sing and write songs. He loved sports and enjoyed fishing. He was a wonderful father and loving husband.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ruth Davis, infant son, DeWayne, and sister, Marge Girton.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Davis, two daughters, Veanise Davis and Melody Davis VanKlaveren, grandchildren, Mike, Nikki, Joe and Kayla Thiel, Breanne Langerak, Jordan Glazier Jazzman, ten great-grandchildren and his brother, Gary Davis.
Memorial contributions, may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 989 Spaulding Ave. SE, Ada, MI 49301.
Respecting Richard's wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 am on October 9, 2017 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI, with full military honors.
