Richard Douglas Mee

Richard Douglas Mee, age 61 of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on March 9, 2022.  Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 12, 1960, the son of Thomas and Tessie (Sawyers) Mee.

Richard attended Brighton High School.  He worked as a semi-truck driver until 2011, when he retired due to health issues.  He married Teresa Mee on June 28, 2003.

Richard enjoyed watching NASCAR races, sitting by the campfire with family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren and an occasional day trip to the lakeshore with his wife.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Tessie Mee.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Teresa Mee of Hastings, Michigan, son Cedric Mee of Florida, step-son Jessie (Candy) Elliott of Hastings, Michigan, step-daughter Stephanie (Joel) Norris of Hastings, Michigan, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way, sisters Linda Mee, Beverly (Grady) Amwake, Terri (Doug) Wren, Mary (Jeff) Axe, and brother James Mee.
