Richard Lee Smith, age 63 of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly April 23, 2018 at his residence.
Rick was born on October 29, 1954 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the son of Richard Jack and Charlene Joy (Geisinger) Smith.
Rick worked for Coffman Electric. He enjoyed fishing, taking walks, riding his motorcycle, reading, camping and working with mechanics and electronics. Rick also played the guitar and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Rick was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Kay Smith. He is survived by mother, Charlene Joy Smith, father, Richard Jack Smith, children: Shane L. Smith, Jessica Lee Smith, and Dustin Richard Price, grandchildren, Angelice, Eva, Pearl, and Coltin, siblings: Rodney (Renee), Cindy (Roger), Ronald, Kathleen (Scott), Karri, Cherri (Phillip), Richard, Rex, Kevin and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Tyden Park in Hastings.
