Robert Valentine Gurski

Robert V. ""Turk"" Gurski, age 78 of Hastings, passed away Saturday January 17, 2009 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.\r

He was born February 14, 1930 the son of Edwin and Helen (Kerna) Gurski. He attended school in Lisle, Illinois.\r

Robert owned and operated his own Automotive Body Repair Shop and retired in 1996. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and being with family.\r

He moved to Hastings in 2001 from Lisle Illinois. \r

Robert is survived by his wife, Rose Ann (Griffin) Gurski, his children, Ken Gurski, Rob & Cherie Gurski, Judy Riley, Brian & Deb Gurski, Glen & Jen Gurski, grandchildren, Ken Gurski, Gwenn & Tom Keehan, Dawn Brown, Jennifer Gurski, Jarrett Gurski, Justin Gurski, Tiffany Gurski, Mike Gurski, Jordan Gurski, Ryan Gurski, Danielle Gurski, Cierra Gurski, Jake & Amber Riley, Wade & Jennifer Gurski, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.\r

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dan Gurski.\r

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday January 22, 2009 at 11:00am at St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church in Hastings.\r

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.\r
