Robert Arlan Keller, age 87 of Hastings passed away on March 2, 2022, at Woodlawn Meadows.
Robert was born February 9, 1935, to Neil & Thelma Granger, who divorced in 1945. Thelma remarried to William Max Keller who adopted Robert in late 1940.
Robert graduated in 1953 from Hastings High School. Robert served two years in the Naval Reserves and two years active duty in the Army. He was Honorably Discharged on his 21 st . birthday.
Robert married his high school sweetheart – the love of his life, Charlene Anne Tolles. They were married July 8, 1954, she preceded him in 2018.
Robert was a life member of Hastings Masonic Lodge and Past Master. He was also a life member of the Hastings Elks Lodge #1965
In Robert's early years he worked for Farmer Peet Meat Packing and Rust Oleum Paint Products as a salesman in the lower southwest Michigan area.
Robert owned and operated Keller's Cities Service Station with wrecker service in Hastings. In 1965 he went to work for Hastings Manufacturing Company and retired in 1997. During his time with Hastings Manufacturing, he traveled all over the world as Export Manager.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Anne Keller, parents Thelma and Wm. Max Keller, Mother and Father-in-law Russell and Maxine Tolles, Brothers-in-law Boyd Tolles, and Neil (Kathryn) Granger.
Robert enjoyed in his early years racing midget race cars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and watching sports on tv. Robert and Charlene spent many years in their retirement camping. A big joy in Robert's life was always having a dog by his side. Robert's famous saying if you asked him "How are you doing" – he would respond with "Oh wonderful"
He is survived by sons Kurt (Barbara) Keller, Bart (Kathryn) Keller, Max Keller, and David (Christina) Keller, Daughter Robin (Kyle) Chase, Sibling Sharon (Arnold) Wyckoff, Sister-in-law, Shirley Tolles, Brother and Sister-in-law, Robert, and Linda Tolles, Grandchildren Kurt Keller, Jr., Kassie (Keith) White, Ryan (Jessica) Zamonis, Ashleigh Rhoads, Justin (Brittany) Keller, Lindsey (Brian) Ismirle, Rachel (Joe) Liffrig, Chase Keller, Eric (Brianna) Chase, Kristin (Leon) Patrick, Amber (Robert) Simons, Nicholas (Breanna) Chase, Ross (Margot) Keller, Haley (Andrew) Babcock, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral Service will be Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour prior at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway; Hastings, MI 49058, interment at Riverside Cemetery, military honors by American Legion Post 45.
