Robert William Phillips

Robert ""Bob"" Phillips, age 79 of Hastings, passed away March 13, 2011 at his home. He was born July 20, 1931 in Augusta, Michigan the son of Harold and Leah Phillips. Robert worked and retired from General Motors. He was a member of Thornapple Valley Church. Robert loved fishing, helping others and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jerry Phillips. Robert is survived by his wife, Iva Phillips of Hastings, MI, daughter, Cathy (Jerry) Peters of Shelbyville, MI, son, David (Julie) Phillips of Hastings, MI, grandchildren; Chad (Amie) Peters, Kristi (Mike) Hanson, Dalton Phillips, Dakota Phillips and eight great-grandchildren. \r
Memorial contributions may be made to Thornapple Valley Church Food Pantry, 2750 S. M-43 Hwy., Hastings, MI 49058. \r
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Thornapple Valley Church. \r
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011, 11:00 am at Thornapple Valley Church. Pastor Jeff Arnett will be officiating the service. Arrangements are by the Girrbach Funeral Home in Hastings. \r
