Robert Lee Snyder
Of Hastings, passed away on July 8, 2017 in Baltimore Township, Michigan, at the age of 60. He was born on October 28, 1956 in Baltimore Township, Michigan, the son of Arnold Wayne (Pete) and Barbara Louise (Woodmansee) Snyder. He attended Hastings High School and received a GED. He worked with his grandfather, Pinky Woodmansee, at the saw mill then was self-employed as a Junk Car Dealer and Gun Sales Representative. He lived with his life partner Marla Preston for 18 years. He enjoyed educating his mind, and many activities such as model cars, and training his dog Conan. When he received mail, it was like Christmas every day to him. He loved riding down back roads and looking at Christmas lights and coming home to a bonfire.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his life partner Marla Preston, step-son Brian (Rebecca) Preston, grandchildren Jonathan, Michael, Steven Michael, sister Eva Lynn Chapp, nieces Samantha, Bobilynn, Jacqilyn, 3 great nieces, and nephew Ryker Tessmer, aunts Carolyn, Connie and Joy, many cousins, and friends that visited him often.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering on August 13, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 1280 Mixer Road, Hastings, MI 49058.
