Ronald Duane Hall

Ronald Duane Hall, age 91, of Hastings, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026. He was born on April 17, 1935, in Hastings, Michigan, the son of Dale R. and L. Dolores (Sunday) Hall. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1953 and attended Lansing Business College after which he served in the U.S. Army.

On September 20, 1957, Ron married Juanita K. Medd. Together, they built a beautiful life and celebrated an incredible 69 years of marriage. Professionally, Ron worked for Barry County Lumber and then E.W. Bliss until his retirement.

Ron was very involved in his community. He served as a Boy Scout leader and was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church. He also found profound joy in the outdoors—mushrooming, fishing, small game hunting, tending to his yard and flowers, and working on projects at the farm.

Finally, and above all else, his greatest joy was his family. He prioritized them in every aspect of his life and his unwavering devotion meant that his favorite place to be was simply surrounded by the people he loved most.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law Chase and LaVon Medd; sister Carol Poulos; brother Chris Hall; and sisters- and brothers-in-law Judy and Jack Lenz, and Christine and Mark Anderson.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Juanita K. Hall; his sons, Greg (Debbie) Hall, Jeff (Kim) Hall, and Tim (Dana) Hall; grandchildren Jennifer (Rey) Reyna, Ashley (Seth) Simonson, Molly (Matt) Gilmore, Stephanie (Brett) Sokolowski, Katie (Steve) Zachensky, and Teague Hall; great-grandchildren Harper, Madelyn, and Marshall; brother and sister-in-law Thomas (Diane) Medd; brother-in-law Milt Poulos; and sister-in-law Cindy Hall.

There will be a Celebration of Life Service at Hope United Methodist Church in the near future.
