Ronald Eber Hoffman

Ronald Eber Hoffman passed away on August 6, 2024, at the age of 82. He was born on August 2, 1942, the son of Eber and Dorothy (Dull) Hoffman.

Ron grew up in Nashville, Michigan. For 42 years, he dedicated his professional life to Keeler Brass, where he worked as a Diecast Operator until his retirement in 2004. After retirement, he found great satisfaction in volunteering for Hope Network, a role that allowed him to give back to the community and support those in need.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman who found peace in the quiet of hunting and the rhythm of fishing, mostly because it gave him an excuse to avoid chores at home. His love for dancing brought joy to many gatherings, even if his moves resembled a flailing fish. He was often found belting out tunes in the shower, proving his love for music. Ron had a soft spot for his favorite westerns, which explained his tendency to speak in cowboy lingo. Ron attended Hastings Free Methodist Church. Above all, Ron's heart belonged to his family and his dogs, and he cherished his time spent with them.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Pat, Duane, John, and Marvin.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Kathleen Sue (Johnston) Hoffman, whom he married on August 7th, 2004. He will be deeply missed by his children, Brenda (Robert Wilson) Gibson and Carol (William) Littlejohn; grandchildren Richard (Amy) Gibson, Stacey (Chris Wilson) Snook, Dakota (Chrystal) Henion, Skyler (Autum) Henion, Jaden Littlejohn, and Kathleen (Travis) Hoffman; and his 20 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 1:30 at Hastings Free Methodist Church. Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
