Russell Mason Peasley, age 50, of Nashville, Michigan, passed away on July 4, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1976, in Lansing, Michigan, to Russell Newton and Charlene Ann (Washburn) Peasley.
Russell graduated from Everett High School in Lansing, where he was well known for playing the tuba in the marching band. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1994 to 1998, including service in Kuwait. Following his military service, Russell dedicated 26 years to the Michigan Department of Corrections as a correctional officer.
On August 17, 2000, he married the love of his life, Teresa Teachout. Together they shared 26 wonderful years of marriage. Russell enjoyed deer hunting, reading, and, above all, spending time with his family and beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Newton Peasley.
Russell is survived by his wife, Teresa Peasley; his mother, Charlene Ann Peasley; his children, Marsha (Vernon) Lovell, Matthew (Elizabeth) Daberkow, and Angelina (Shannan) Maurer; his cherished grandchildren, Jayce Whittenberg, Austin Daberkow, Alexander Daberkow, Katherine May Lovell, Delaney Maurer, and Dawson Maurer; his sister, Joyce (Dennis) Griffin; and his nieces, Shianne Magwood and Rylie Griffin.
