Samuel Lee Smith

Samuel Lee Smith Sr., age 75 of Nashville, Michigan, passed away February 21, 2020 at his home.    Samuel was born on December 3, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Willberh Smith and Jewell Emma John.   He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School.

Sam married Thelma Rose Ackels on December 2, 1995.  They enjoyed 13 years of marriage, before her passing.  He retired from Demmer Company in 2012.   Sam enjoyed pen drawing and spending time with family.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Emma John and Wilberh Smith, wife, Thelma Rose Ackels Smith and son, Samuel Lee Smith Jr.

He is survived by his son, Lee Smith, grandchildren: Charlene Wood, Travis Smith and Lacey Ackels, sister, Linda Van Lake, and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Respecting Sam's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being held at this time.
