Sandra Louise Breitner

Sandra Louise Breitner, age 80, passed away on July 9, 2025. Born on June 18, 1945, in Battle Creek, Michigan, she was the daughter of Cloyse and Leona (Smith) Tuttle. Sandra attended Pennfield High School and later married the love of her life, James Breitner, on her birthday in 1977. They shared 44 wonderful years together until his passing in 2022.

Sandra had a deep love for bluegrass music and enjoyed attending concerts whenever she could. She also loved traveling, growing flowers, and watching birds and chipmunks in her yard. Her happiest moments were spent with family—she had a big heart and a spirit of kindness that touched everyone she met. She loved unconditionally and was always ready to help anyone in need.  Sandra as also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents Cloyse and Leona Tuttle, siblings Barbara, Margie, Beverly, Patty, Harold, Ronnie, Bob, Donald, and Ralph, her daughter Vicki Lynd Root, and granddaughter Sandra Smith.

Sandra is survived by her children Allan Lynd, Warren (Christina) Smith, Brian (Rose) Smith, and Brenda Smith; adopted children Lisa Morales, Brenda (Tim Roscoe) Hoffman, and Jim (JoAnna) Brown; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a funeral service to follow at Noon, at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway, Hastings, MI. Interment will take place at Hastings Township Cemetery.
