Age 79, passed away surrounded by her family on June 4, 2016 at her home in Hastings. She was born November 24, 1936 in Hastings to Michael Alden and Dorothy Ellen (Dean) Todd. She graduated from Hastings High School and worked at Baby Bliss, Orchards Industries and Retired in 1998 from Hastings Manufacturing. She enjoyed playing the organ, tending to her flower garden, watching her birds and going out for breakfast.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kathleen Thompson. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Dewayne (Barb) Thompson of Hastings, Michigan, John (Robin) Thompson of Ballinger, Texas, Russ (Karen) Thompson of Middleville, Michigan, Wes Thompson of Delton, Michigan, daughter Gail (John) Herman of Chino Valley, Arizona, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, sisters Ellen Bassett of Nashville, Michigan, and Margaret Kremer of Keene, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Girrbach Funeral Home 328 South Broadway, Hastings, Michigan 49058.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church 239 E. North Street, Hastings, MI 49058.
Contributions can be made in Sandra's name to Spectrum Health Hospice 1230 W. State St., Hastings, MI 49058.
