Scott J. Hartman

Scott J. Hartman of Hastings, MI, passed away on November 3rd, 2025.

Scott was born on July 12, 1962, in Hastings, Michigan, to Gary and Patricia (Rozema) Hartman. Scott attended Hastings High School and graduated in 1980.

After high school, Scott started his career in small machine repair and then went on to several different manufacturing positions over the next 40 years. He most recently worked at Hastings Manufacturing.

Scott lived in various states, including Colorado, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Florida. He always considered Hastings, Michigan, his true home. Scott enjoyed several hobbies and interests, including model trains, NASCAR racing, and photography.

Scott is survived by many loving family members, including his children, Caitlin (Travis) Betz, Gary (Brittany) Hartman, Kyle Hartman, Scottie Hartman and grandson Grant Betz, Mother Patricia Hartman, siblings: Sonny (Deb) Hartman, Chris (Betty) Hartman, Debbie Hartman, Brian Hartman and Bruce (Jen) Hartman as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Hartman, and his grandparents Clarence and Edith Hartman, and Ralph and Elsie Rozema.
