Steven Thomas Goodson

Steven Thomas Goodson, born March 6, 1953, in Battle Creek, Michigan passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025, at the age of 72.

Steven was the beloved son of the late Melvin Ray and Verginia Rose (Thomas) Goodson. A lifelong resident of the Hastings area, he graduated from Hastings High School and spent many years working with pride and dedication for Balkema Excavating.

Steven was a hard-working man who valued family above all else. He is survived by his two sons, Dustin Goodson and Darren Goodson, and his cherished grandchildren: Morgan, Paisley, Cole, Nolan, Jeremiah, and Israel. His family was his greatest joy, and he leaves behind many fond memories and stories that will be treasured for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In keeping with Steven's wishes, no services are planned. His family invites those who knew him to remember him in their own way, celebrating a life lived simply, honestly, and with love.
