Sue Ellen Randall passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024, in Charlotte, Michigan. She was born on April 22, 1948, in Hastings, Michigan, the daughter of the late John Edward and Norma Jean (Bidelman) Hickey.
She was a 1966 graduate of Hastings High School. On April 8, 1967, Sue Ellen married Asa E. Randall III, and they enjoyed 57 years together. Her nurturing spirit led her to a fulfilling career as a Nurses' Aide at Tendercare of Hastings, where she devoted 18 years of compassionate service.
A devoted member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Hastings, MI, Sue Ellen's faith was the guiding light of her life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching NASCAR. The thrill of a day spent at the casinos with her sisters was a cherished pastime, filled with laughter and camaraderie. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Sue Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Marilyn (Jerry) Gilding and Ann Winans, and her daughter Charlotte Jean Randall.
She is survived by her husband, Asa E. Randall III; her son, Asa E. (LaRhonda) Randall IV; grandchildren, Alex (Liberty) Randall of Delton, MI, Trisha (Thomas) Brownd of Griffith, IN, Danielle Rexford of Sand Lake, MI, and Alexxis Price of Bayville, NJ; great-grandchildren Aadrien, Calvin, Conrad, Reese and Eleanor; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 PM at Girrbach Funeral Home, 328 S Broadway; Hastings, MI 49058. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 26, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 805 S Jefferson St, Hastings, MI 49058 at 10:00 AM. Interment at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
