Theodore James Allerding

Theodore James Allerding, age 85 of Hastings, passed away on July 6, 2020. Theodore was born on August 11, 1934 in Hastings, Michigan, the son of Nile and Velma (Harry) Allerding.

Ted attended Hastings High School and was a farmer and heavy equipment operator. On December 21, 1957, Ted married Phyllis Silsbee, and they enjoyed 45 years together until her passing in 2001.

Ted enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and loved his grandchildren.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents Velma and Nile Allerding, his wife Phyllis Allerding, his son-in-law Steven M. Heinrich and brothers Mertin and Neil Allerding.

He is survived by his children Ruby Heinrich of Lawrenceville, PA, Phyllis (Jack) Dawson of Cadillac, MI, Teddy (John) Lancaster of Hastings, MI, grandchildren Jack Dawson III, Brian Dawson, Chelsi Heinrich, Sean Lancaster, Lacy J. (Derek) Thurman, Ashley (Britton) Olson, and 9 great-grandchildren.
