Wayne Adelbert Allen, age 85 of Freeport, passed away November 7, 2015 at his home.
Wayne was born in Barry County, Michigan, the son of Clinton and Maude (Harthorn) Allen. He married Alice Eaton on December 30, 1950. Wayne worked at General Motors until his retirement in 1993. He was a mechanic and loved working on cars. Wayne and Alice also enjoyed wintering in Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Maude Allen, one brother, three sisters, his son, Mitchell Allen and grandson, Jason.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Alice of 65 years, sons, Richard (Chris) Allen, Kenneth (Candy) Allen, Rex Allen, daughters, Connie Allen, Bonnie (Tim) Lakken, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two sisters, one brother, and daughter-in-law, Rene Ellsberry.
Respecting Wayne's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
