William George Mcnutt, Jr.

William George McNutt Jr., of Middleville, Michigan went to be with his Savior on January 13, 2025, at the age of 79.

Bill was born on September 22, 1945, to William George Sr. and Norma Anderson McNutt as the second of five children. He grew up on his family's farm and found great enjoyment in that life. Some of his favorite times were spent fishing, hunting and pulling horses. Later in life, Bill found joy in gardening and becoming an avid woodworker.

Bill proudly served his country in the Army from 1965-1967. Near the end of that tour of duty, he married the love of his life, Linda Staup, on May 13, 1967, and raised a family of 2 sons and 1 daughter. He supported his family by working at General Motors for 25 years.

Bill will be fondly remembered for his dedication to and love for his wife, family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Lyndia Crawford and Jackie Moran, and granddaughter Kennedy McNutt.

Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda, son Dean (Bonnie) McNutt, daughter April (Mark) Curtis, son Mark (Becca) McNutt, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, mother-in-law Dollie Godfrey, sister Connie (Ort) Hobert, sister Georgia (Bill) Tinkler, brother-in-law Bill Moran, sister-by-choice Joann Strasizar, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior at 10:00 AM at Restoration Christian Reformed Church, 708 W. Main Street, Middleville MI, 49333, with Pastor Robert VanZanen officiating. Bill will be laid to rest during a private family ceremony at Irving Cemetery, military honors provided by American Legion Post 45; Hastings. Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home.
