William Harrison Ripley

William "Bill" Harrison Ripley, age 75 of Hastings, passed away December 18, 2018 at Magnum Care in Hastings.

William was born on April 16, 1943 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Wilford H. and Cleo Marie (Kerr) Ripley.  He was a graduate from Hastings High School.   Bill honorably served in the Air Force, during the Vietnam War.

Bill married Laurene Sue Bigelow on May 1, 1974.  They have enjoyed 44 years of marriage.   Over the years he worked for Magna in Alto and Walker Industries, where he welded gas tanks.  Bill also did welding as a side job.  He enjoyed golf, bowling, watching sports and was an avid  Michigan and Detroit fan.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Cleo Ripley, and two sons, Rodney Ripley and Thomas Ripley.  He is survived by his wife, Sue Ripley, son, Robert (Joanna) Ripley, daughters, Kimberly Ripley and Tammy McNeff, stepson, Henry Bigelow, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, sister, Brenda (Marc) Robertson and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family or Girrbach Funeral Home to help with final expenses.

Respecting Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
