Danny Lee Capers, age 68 of Hastings, Michigan, passed away on June 30, 2022. Danny was born on June 4, 1954, in Hastings, Michigan, the son of James Willie and Alice May (Wood) Capers/Hammond.

Danny attended Hastings Area Schools and worked at Timbercraft, Plastech, and Mensch Manufacturing. On March 15, 1980, Danny married Faye Keller, and they enjoyed 42 years together.

Danny enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, moped riding, boating and sitting by the campfire.  He especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.

Danny was preceded in death by his father James W. Capers, stepfather Maurie Hammond, Grandpa Lawrence Wood, Grandmother Viola Wood, Brother Steven Capers, and daughter-in-law Erin Capers.

He is survived by his wife Faye Capers of Hastings, mother Alice Hammond of Florida, sister Deborah (Kevin) Monasco of Florida, son James (Brandy) Capers, daughter Sara (Chad Coenen) Capers, daughter Deanna Keller, grandkids Emma Coenen, Casey Coenen, Danielle Keller, Allera Keller, Skyler Keller, Zaida Smith, Kaylee Capers, Jessy Deppe, Justice Deppe, Josh Deppe, cousins, nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends

A Celebration of Danny's life will take place at Charlton Park West Pavilion on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.  Arrangements by Girrbach Funeral Home, to leave an online condolence visit www.girrbachfuneralhome.net .
